nythroughthelens: My article for NearSay this week is a photo-guide about one of my favorite candy stores located on the Lower East Side, Economy Candy Market. The candy store been open since 1937 and it’s got the most amazing variety of candy; everything from wax fangs, a wall of hard candies in every color imaginable to jars upon jars of Nutella and a staggering amount of Pez dispensers. They also use their top shelves as a candy museum displaying old-fashioned candy vending machines and signs. What’s not to love?
